Today was just to to "touch the surface"I need to go back and start looking in much more detail to get a better understanding of the six races of Red Knot that I am trying to learn at the moment.

Results of a day at Tring,Natural History Museum, December 09
Spent the other day at the Natural History Museum at Tring, Hertfordshire. Have not been to the Museum since 1998 when I was last there studying Saker Skins, this time I was there trying to get to to grips with Red Knot Skins, couldn't help myself and had to have a look at Spoon Billed Sandpipers. Just seeing trays upon trays of Wader specimens was amazing, I need to go back several more times to get a better understanding. Even Adam joined me and It was good to see him and listen to his views, opinions and help. Security at the Museum is now much tighter due to the theft of several specimens. "Thank you" to Katrina for all her help, advice and guidance.
