Snow=Go, Rain=Pain (In the ****)

Well I have been a bit busy this week and so an early morning start today searching for a low tide feeding area actually out on the estuary. Spent around 2 hours just on first light walking out across the mudflats in the hope of locating one of the several Knot flocks but no feeding flocks located today. Then the sheets of rain came in and I had a break before venturing out to do the high tide roost, however the rain persisted and only one of the five high tide roost sites has a hide and I really didn't fancy that today. So I called it a day and got on with other things that needed doing. I did check out the feeding station I have set up in my garden and it is quite good seeing birds take to it. I set it up during the recent snow fall and Great and Blue Tits are a regular feature with Grey Squirrel being present today and even a couple of Fieldfares feeding on the fruit I put out, Song Thrush and Blackbird seem to like the meal worms. I believe that the weather is meant to be better tomorrow and if so I hope to hit a feeding area. "No Rush, it is still only January"....
