Cup of Tea and Med Please..

Had time to stop for a cuppa today so went down to the end of Pier hoping that there would be plenty of Med Gulls all coming in to Summer Plumage. I was surprised to have found it either as a mass clear out or just a bad day. I could only locate 2 Meds, The moulting 1st summer bird above and the Adult summer bird below.
Gulls were in very low numbers today with no Meds perched on the structures around the head of the Pier, a handfull of Common and Herring Gulls came in to breading. It was quite cold and even had hailstones briefly. Whilst scanning the river I was most surprised to have counted 73+ Great Grested Grebes between the Pier and the Point, Otherwise "Pretty Quiet"
