I had to wade through the water today and got wet in order to try and get close views and close enough to attempt these photos. Here is a small selection of some of Today's photo's
Must say I was well pleased when I saw this moulting summer plumaged Red Knot with 3 winter plumaged birds. It took a bit of time getting close to this bird but was worth it, at one point it gave a part display call. I have never witnessed this before but it put it's head back, bill pointing to the sky and began giving a part display call.Nestled in the salt grass this bird took pole position amongst the Dunlin and Ringed Plover.A cracking individual and joint highlight of the spring so far with the near full SP Spotted Redshank in Vange Creek on Wednesday.
