A visit over the Point today Produced 12+ Common Tern, 30+ Dunlin, 12 Ringed Plover, 4 Red Knot, 3 Whimbrel, 2 Grey Plover, 1 Turnstone, 19 Oystercatcher.
I had to wade through the water today and got wet in order to try and get close views and close enough to attempt these photos.

Must say I was well pleased when I saw this moulting summer plumaged Red Knot with 3 winter plumaged birds.
It took a bit of time getting close to this bird but was worth it, at one point it gave a part display call. I have never witnessed this before but it put it's head back, bill pointing to the sky and began giving a part display call.
Nestled in the salt grass this bird took pole position amongst the Dunlin and Ringed Plover.
A cracking individual and joint highlight of the spring so far with the near full SP Spotted Redshank in Vange Creek on Wednesday.
