Point, Bowers, Vange Wick, Fobbing & Vange Marsh

An early start with Peter on the point was again quiet with just a few Dunlin present, 1 Summer Plum Grey Plover was rather smart, 2 Barwits flew through, 2 Sanderling, 7 Whimjbrel, 1 Curlew, 1 Little, 6+ Common and 3 Sandwich Terns were the best it got.
Dunlin keep making good subjects so I am making the most of the chance to improve my photography.

After the Point a visit to Bowers Marsh produced a nice pair of Wheatears, then on to Vange Creek which produced 11 Greenshank, 1 Spoted Redshank, 1 Common Sandpiper, then on to Vange Wick and a complete circuit to the Fobbing boundary produced very little bar a Cuckoo flying over the boundary and a single Whimbrel on one of the floods. The day ended on Vange where 1 Hobby, 1 Kestrel, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Greenshank, and a rather large mixed group of both Swallow and House Martins were present, no sign of the Garganey drew a close to 12 hours in the field.
