After the weather system that passed through yesterday it was nice to wake to a nice, bright warm day on Terceira. This was to be my last visit to the Paul da Praia before heading to the airport. A walk around this morning provided the Lesser & Greater Scaup, 3 Ring Necked Ducks, 9 Tufted Duck, 2 Teal and 2 Wigeon. The Bufflehead wasn't present but could have been tucked away in some corner or even gone some where else like it appears to have done last Sunday. I update this posting from Lisboa airport before returning back to the UK. I think back on what a great few days this trip was and so below are some of my favourite photos. You have to ask yourself where else in the WP can you expect to get such a good collection of birds in early February. I will upload my video clips from this trip in the next few days.
