Okay this is the last posting from Thailand (part 1) and so I thought I would include some thing for the "Foodies" amongst you and also to prove I do eat the local food that is, the real local food((you know who you are)) If your idea of food selling street traders is of Hot Dogs and Hamburgers outside the local nightclub or on the streets of London then think again and do not be put off. Here,it is good food, cooked by good people at a reasonable price and lets face it, if the local Thai people eat here then it has got to be good. This way you get to see the food cooked right before your very own eyes in front of you and also see the fresh ingredients being used. So, when you are here don't think of the street food stalls back home just go for it and I am sure you will not only enjoy the great food but also the experience.
The video clip above shows my Green Curry just being completed and the video clip below shows part of the train journey I took last night / this morning. The video clip shows the train just departing Hua Hin. After this I arrived in Bangkok 5 hours behind schedule and managed to jump a cab to the airport and then a flight to Sydney and then a connecting flight to Brisbane where I was met by Stuart Pickering. I am uploading this posting sat in the garden outside having a few cold beers, next to the swimming pool with the cricket on the TV (Australia versus India) and then we head off tomorrow for some birding. It is great to see Stuart, Kirsten & James in their new home and what a great plcae this is. Photo's and updates to follow soon.
