I have been watching the news and there is no way that Osama Bin Laden was burried at Sea. Why would he be burried at Sea ? none of this makes any sense "What did he do ? walk the plank ?" next there will be talk of captain Jack sparrow sending him to his watery Grave!
Today I meet with a Bristish Birder who is also in the area of Khao San Road, Graham Gordon from St.Agnes, Isles of Scilly. A nice enough & decent fella who has been traveling & birding in the north of Thailand for the previous month. We were put in touch with each via email through D.Gandy and we meet in Coffee World and chat about recent travels and yester-year gone by about the British birding scene. We talk of plans to go birding and I am thinking about going to Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park as it has a beach there which is good for Waders and I have seen Malaysian Plover there in 2002. Graham went on to advise me that he found a Spoon Billed Sandpiper there many years ago and I remember reading this a report from years gone by. The heat is geting to me today and I feel weak and just totally drained. I find myself vomittng and shivering one minute and burning up the next. The noise and craziness of Khao San gets to me today and being approached by people wanting to sell me a hand made suit, Tuk, Tuk, Taxi, fortune tellers and tout's trying to get me in to their bars (photo above) takes its toll and I decide to swerve the action and rest in the Guest House where I am staying. My email acount is giving me warnings of not much memory / space remaining for new emails and so I decide to sit down, and start making my way through and clearing all un-wanted emails. Even my address book needs a clear out and I find names of people who I didn't even know I had their emal address. I do this with a bottle of water and watching the TV in the seating area downstairs.
