UK (Day 2) South Essex Marshes

Met up with Steve "A" today and had an early morning stroll along Hole Haven Creek (photo above) and on to Canvey Wick.
Canvey Wick has a lot of cover and is a good passerine migrant spot but the Oil refineries dominate the skyline.
Even though it has that Industrial look about it I still like the area and this section of the creek looks so good for a Terek Sandpiper, however only Waders present today was a single Redshank. An adult Med Gull flew througha couple of times and Shelducks were present. Passerine's came in the form of a single Yellowhammer and a few Whitethroats. After this is a was a quick visit to Wat Tyler where a single Bearded Tit was the best sighting.
After Wat Tyler it was on to Vange Marsh where the Marsh is looking in a really good condition with the start of nice muddy edge forming due to the draw down of the water level. A quiet day on site but the drake Garganey showed quite well on the nearest flash (photos below) with a single Greenshank droppng in to feed on the back edge.
