Image above shows one of the many bill-boards advertising the future development plans for the area of Yangkou. 
Today I decided to cover the rising tide in zone A and then to try one of the small high tide roosts in the area of the spartina grass in the area of zone C. Luckily there were 5 adult spoon billed sandpipers using this high tide roost today. Above shows one the adult spoon billed sandpipers present (sitting, left of the sanderling). Below shows a blank yellow flag ringed greater sandplover. This bird would have been ringed at Broome, north west Australia.
