End of an Era (DSC W15)

Well there you have it the last of the Sony Cyber-shots DSC W15's is on its last legs and as much as I try to put off the inevitable I really do have to move and stop flogging a nearly dead horse. I have owned 4 of these smart little digi-scoping camera's over the past 6-7 years but it is starting to collapse on me so today I went and purchased a new digi-scoping camera and so before starting afresh with the new camera I thought I'd share some of my old favourite Sony digi-shots...
Crab Plover, Qu'lan islands September 2006
The early days both above and below were taken at the Cabo da Praia quarry, Terceira, Azores.

The above Little Stint taken at Tacumshin 2007 and the mass wintering flock of Red Knot which is one of my all time favourite shots was taken at Two Tree lagoon, Leigh On Sea, Thames Estuary winter 2009.

Image of the Western Sandpiper above was a gift and below of the Slaty backed Gull was a pure treat to get a double hit at Pitsea Landfill in February this year.

Bit of luck this one above but I still like it, Lesser Scaup and Bufflehead together and below, A well appreciated Greater-Legs at Lagoa da Junco, Terceira, Azores both taken this winter.

Lesser Legs at the Cabo da Praia quarry, Terciera, Azores winter 2011 and below of an Oriental Pratincole near Samut Sakhon, Thailand March 2011.

Nordshank above at Krabi estuary March 2011 and below is an SBS at Yangkou, Rudong, China, April 2011.
Below, well I reckon this has to be the best photo I ever took using the Sony Cyber shot and so I will leave at that. Looking forward to start using the new model but not the slog of trying to work out how to get the best results nor how it well compare to the old and trusty Sony, " end of era"
