Had a visit to Bribie Island the other day with Es and on first impressions it is all very nice and has a some what resemblance to Canvey Island. I think it was the layout and the police sirens. Also it is meant to be quite good for a bit of bird migration and has turned up a Laughing Gull in recent years. So after the drive up there it was a case of do pretty much nothing and just relax. The usual swim in shark safety netted waters (of which I was surprised to learn later are not 100% fail safe). There were plenty of Great crested Terns offshore and the odd osprey over-head, worthy of a visit if your in the area.
