What a day today was, the sun was shining from first thing and it was pretty warm by just 08:00 hrs. The weather has been a "Mixed Bag" to say the least here with more rain and buffeting winds than warm clear, sunny days like today. I headed out along the trail taking in the view above. Upon reaching the Stilt pools I went through the roosting Barwits and Red Knots and managed to get a few flag & colour ringed individuals.
One of my tasks is to de-weed the shell bank and so I made a start on this and as lunch time I arrived I sat down with a fresh cuppa and just took in the view above. I really like it here, just so relaxed, no hassle, just calm, peaceful, and packed with waders. It feels a bit like home from home, sitting down taking in the view of the Thames but instead of looking across to the Isle of Grain I am now looking across the town of Thames in the southern hemisphere. What with it being such a nice day and good light I decided to make the most of it and grabbed the opportunity to try and get some new Wrybill photos as below.
