Red Knot CKN with Data Logger.

I photographed the Red Knot above with the white flag CKN and yellow data logger on the 15/07/2011 in Chukotka, Russia. Link here to blog post- "Russia day 61" -

Well this bird has just been seen at Kidds, Karaka, North Island, New Zealand. This is just 40 miles to the northwest of Miranda.

It was found and photographed by Ian Southey whilst doing the high tide roost at Kidds. Ian has kindly allowed me to use his photos above and below. What a great record & it will be interesting to see what information the data logger will provide.
