Spent some time watching the Sharp tailed Sandpipers the other afternoon. This was the closest they have been and luckily they were on the Stilt pools and not on the mud-flats of the bay. The only issue was the that they were partially back-lit and I couldn't get a better angle on them. I'm not that happy with these photos but decided to upload them in this post rather than have them just sitting on the hard drive taking up space. At present the highest count I have had is of 9 birds together.
