I Have just completed a full on 6 day Field Course at the Miranda Shorebird Centre. The course covered many different topics and ran from 06:00hrs through to 21:00hrs each day, however some days started earlier and finished later. I must say that each section was brilliant but the session when Jodi the Vet attended and provided a lecture on the Anatomy of a Godwit has to be one my favourites. Also the mud sampling, wader ringing, botany and so much more. I will provide a more detailed update on this when I am not so tired.
Below is a short video clip I took during the session and I can't rate-recomend this course highly enough, as well as being totally educational, it was fun and had some great laughs with some great people, great presentations by some cool talkers - superb 5* food provided throughout and to top it off the weather was great. Oh and top it off I now find myself looking at plants and flowers with a genuine interest " I know - I can't believe it myself"
