What a week that was, I had to travel over to B&J diving at ABC on Tioman Island in order to carry out a DAN (Divers Alert Network) 02 providers course.

After the course we headed down to Anita's bar, of which the last time I was here was when England drew 1-1 with France during last years european cup championship. The food here is excellent and Anita's is well known around these parts for the Pizza's, Chicken nuggets and spicy chips-cheese melts. This was consumed enjoying the view below at the end of the day.
Still quite monsoonal here with some frequent rains, and it seems to be getting worse with some large swells and fast moving belts of rain during this post, yesterday a fishing boat went down and 5 local fisherman are missing. The search and recovery teams were out again today as well as yesterday but no luck. The recent boat trips I have taken have been bumpy to say the least and are the worst I have experienced out here. It almost felt like the monsoon was over but this feels just like it did again at the beginning of last November.
Tomorrow we head to the high Juara pass where we cross over the island to Juara bay to see Charlie at the Turtle sanctuary to see how they are preparing for this years Turtle surveys. At the time of posting I am now 25 days in working without a day off and I am feeling a bit tired. A lot happening here at work and pretty much every day is full on. Fancy a look at Mersing estuary.
